In this era of global concern about the environment, it is imperative that each of us as individuals and corporations do our part to work towards a greener, more eco-friendly world. While public awareness is on the rise and recycling has become more widespread, almost 70% of recyclable refuse is still improperly recycled (or not recycled at all), and ends up in landfills. CINEGreen is a new company that strives to provide easy-to-use recyclable waste solutions to the entertainment industry. Best yet, CINEGreen is a service provided at NO COST to productions, and every month a percentage of our revenue gets donated to various eco-friendly charities.
Based on the specific needs of your production, we place receptacles for recyclable items such as bottles, cans, and paper around your set. Depending on the size of your production, members of our staff come at least once daily to empty the receptacles. Daily pick-ups and a 24-hour on call service help keep the environment and your sets clean. Whether your set is big or small, our staff will help in determining the right amount of receptacles for you to ensure that you never again have to face the eyesore and health hazards of overflowing trashcans. We will provide all the necessary receptacles, pick-up, service, and maintenance – at NO COST to you!
CINEGreen is comprised of an ownership and management team with over 10 years of production experience. Our production background allows us to understand and help you plan for the constantly changing needs of a working motion picture set. In selecting our on-site representatives, CINEGreen works with several organizations across southern California that specialize in providing employment opportunities to economically disadvantaged individuals. All members of our staff go through training in proper set etiquette to ensure that you will never hear us during a roll or see us walking through your frame.
Our Services
CINEGreen is committed to providing every client with the highest level of customer service and attention. The first step after your production has made the commitment to doing its part in making our world a greener one is to schedule an appointment with us for a consultation. For your consultation we come out personally and meet with you to discuss what would best suit the specific needs of your production, and assess how we can maximize our benefit to you. We take into account several factors such as crew size, location, and the history of your production and determine the best solution for everyone. We also constantly monitor the output of your production so that as things change so do we.
For our basic service, which includes receptacles for paper, plastic, aluminum, and one daily pick up, there is no charge; the service is completely free of cost. There are no hidden fees, nothing for production to supply, and absolutely no labor on the part of production. We cover everything and all we ask is that you do your best to make sure the crew actually uses our service. Included in all of our services is 24 hour/5 day a week support so if you are ever in need of an extra pick-up or extra receptacles we're just a phone call away and can usually have someone to you within an hour.
At CINEGreen we understand that every production has different needs. To provide our clients with the most comprehensive service possible, we offer several other upgraded services such as secure recycling (for scripts, contracts, and other sensitive information), media recycling (film, tapes, dvds, etc. ), and more frequent pick ups. All of our upgraded services are fee based but there is no obligation on your part to use any of them. No matter what your need is, CINEGreen will figure out a solution for it.
Once your production has met our minimum standards of "Greenness" we issue you a certificate saying that you are officially a green production. Complete with your certificate is a graphic seal that you can put in your end credits should you choose to, so you can let everyone else know that your production is committed to keeping our planet clean.
